Sound
ImmersiveSound
Rooms that sound like they belong to the people in them. Dialogue in the actual acoustics, effects that tell you which building you are in, a mix meant for a theater rather than a laptop. Sound is the cheapest way to make a picture feel expensive.
Picture without the room it was shot in always looks cheaper than it is. We record dialogue in the actual acoustics, build effects from the building, and mix for a theater first so the laptop version still has weight.
Sound is often the last line item and the first thing an audience feels. We treat it as part of the picture, not a pass at the end.
