A still that has to sit on a carton, in a lookbook, and on a wall is a different problem than a still that only has to travel on a feed. We light for the object. Color is timed to what is in front of the lens, not to a seasonal grade.
The brief is usually quieter than it sounds: make the thing look like itself, at its best, in a way a serious buyer will trust.
